This year Daylight Savings will begin at 2 a.m. on March 11. Microsoft has sent me a nice link (and reminder) which I will now share with you so you also may prepare for the United States Energy Policy Act of 2005. Microsoft's Daylight Saving Time Help and Support Center is here to help! along with another post of mine : Give me One Hour which is kinda sorta funny... I missed a business appointment because I had been terrible to remember this little life tribulation so finally! (at 35...) I decided I had better smarten up to the world of business. Up until this point I guess, well, it was just a funny scenerio when I was an hour early or late... I'm a blond, what can I say?

But I grew out of that (not the blond-hair part - but the blond-duh-I'm-early-I'm-late part!) so now I will share my new sense with all of you who have ever found yourself in the same connundrum.

I have been one hour early and one hour late just one too many times; I'm now golden: Daylight Savings Reference Guide

Outlook and my cellphone are my two new best friends; I thought I liked them before. Now they will inform me that Daylight Savings time will occur on... (input date and time here) ...ding ding, notify, notify.

This wired article is very interesting if you are a multi-state/international business person and this is more recent news: Prepare your Windows Servers and Windows Mobile devices (and self) for timezone changes.

I recently joined the MyBlogLog community and have been getting a lot of exposure there. I have noticed that many of my viewers have write in French so yesterday I decided to add a quick link to my page to let people translate my site into thier language of choice.

I reviewed many translation service sites and concluded Google was the best and easiest to navigate. Some did have good features and nice looking interfaces but inevitably there was some glitch or another that got me caught up trying to troubleshoot instead of just reading the content in the first place.

You can check out the sites I visited and make your own choice:
Babel Fish - simple + good, no frills
Applied Language - widget failed
iTools - broke my layout
Systransoft - I've got scripting turned off...
WorldLingo - Will translate for a cost.

Now that the widget is installed on this website (simply a nice graphic I created and a hyperlink) - I tested it out and while looking at the translation from English to Russian BETA page, I moused over one of my links and a text box flew open for me to view the original text. Neat I think.

Since I am not surfing from another land - I wonder if this tool is also functioning in other languages or have I uncovered a google test?

In my last blog post I asked, “What good is a blog anyway?” The title is a little harsh now in retrospect - but maybe since, I have given serious thought to the benefits of blogging – and now there are so many! Here is the first in my new series on "What good is blog anyway?

Reason #1 - Seek, Search and find treasure in Blogs -- Over the weekend, I was directed to and found a very useful (and hopefully also very fortuitous) blog about the 2007 CES Conference -- which was presented to me from my search terms "need" and "photographer" through the new swamii.com search engine website -- which a review was posted to the TechCrunch network --- which was fed to me through my mobile phone’s mini-rss application -- which I found while researching RSS tools -- which were posted on blogs. Start to finish - with many tools in between were... you guessed it -- blogs!

The conference looks very exciting and I hope to attend. Also, I may have landed in a field of strawberries. For those of you, who do not like strawberries, imagine yourself landing in a warm fuzzy or something like that.

All this treasure was sorted out from a blog. If you read my post backwards, you will see how one blog started a cascade of fruitful events! I am in debt to blog. Thank you Thank you Thank you almighty blog.
