Pingo's virtual VOIP
Since I'm talking about phone services, here is a link for $5.00 USD in FREE calls just for signing up at Pingo.com, a service for International calling cards online.
iBasis, the parent company of Pingo, is a major provider of international long distance service to phone companies around the world and the tenth largest carrier of ALL international phone calls. Pingo has a nice catchy sound and I think the company is reaching out to users the best way possible -- a buzz!
For a measly 98 cents USD per month to keep your account live, Pingo international calling cards have no additional fees. You don't have to change carriers and there is some sort of RateWatcher making sure to always give you the best rate possible.
Sorry I haven't tried it yet but I'm planning on giving it a whirl for the five bucks they've offered and I'll chat with my friend in Canada -- I know the last time I looked on my normal phone bill I was a little shocked at what I had to pay. Pingo is going to give me a rate of 1.8 cents/minute Pingo's Rates -- I just checked my phone bill and I was charged .20/minute.. I checked my carriers website and the going published rate 'today' is .19/minute Cingular Rates... Ahhhh, I cannot believe what I have just discovered!
Now you go look and compare: Call the UK: United Kingdom calling card rates or China: China calling card rates or anywhere! Pingo's Sitemap.
Talk often - Talk more -- Pay less! <--I made that up ;-) Enjoy :)! ![]()
